Editorial transparency plays a fundamental role in strengthening trust in scholarly communication. This narrative review examines recent developments in editorial workflows, peer review management and open science practices, highlighting the role of Open Journal Systems (OJS) in supporting transparent, efficient and sustainable editorial processes.
